Reyka Vodka is a premium Icelandic vodka with 40% strength, created with a strong focus on natural purity and environmentally friendly production. The brand belongs to William Grant & Sons and is produced at Iceland’s first vodka distillery located in Borgarnes. The vodka was introduced in 2005 and quickly gained recognition thanks to its unique production technology and use of Iceland’s natural resources.

A key feature of the vodka is the use of glacial spring water, which is naturally filtered through volcanic lava rocks about 4,000 years old. This natural filtration allows the water to maintain its softness and mineral purity with minimal additional processing.

The vodka is made from a blend of wheat and barley, giving the drink a light sweetness and smooth grain character. The spirit is distilled in small batches using a copper Carter-Head still, a type of still more commonly used for gin, which helps achieve an exceptionally clean and smooth spirit.

The distillery operates using geothermal energy from Iceland’s natural hot springs, making production environmentally sustainable and reinforcing the brand’s philosophy of using pure natural ingredients.

The aroma features light citrus notes, white pepper and subtle herbal tones, sometimes with a delicate hint of anise. The taste is smooth, clean and slightly sweet, with grain, creamy vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is clean and soft with a light peppery note.

The vodka has a crystal-clear color and smooth texture, making it suitable both for drinking neat and for cocktails. It works especially well in classic cocktails such as Vodka Martini and highball drinks, where a clean and neutral flavor profile is valued.

The brand has received several international awards, including the Vodka Trophy at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, and is widely praised for its balance of smoothness, purity and unique Icelandic production concept.
