Askaneli Mukuzani is a Georgian red dry wine from the company Askaneli Brothers, created in the wine-growing region of Kakheti from the autochthonous Saperavi grape variety. It belongs to the category of traditional Georgian wines, protected by the name Mukuzani.
The special feature of the wine is that it is aged in oak barrels, which gives the taste of the great depths and characteristic villages of Vittinki. This wine always develops a rich ruby color, varied structure and a harmonious savory profile.
The taste of Askaneli is rich and balanced: it has notes of black currant, melted cherries and dark berries with light tartness and oak accents. The tannin structure is moderately pronounced, and the aftertaste is trivial and dry. The aroma of the wine is deep and elegant - with hints of berries, spices and light oak spice.
It is recommended to serve the wine at a temperature of 14–16 °C to maximize its flavor. Askaneli Mukuzani enjoys good meals with steaks, baked or greased with meat, shish kebab, dried siurs and other herbs. It’s suitable both for a Christmas party and for a leisurely tasting in company.
