Wine Donnafugata Sherazade, red, dry, 13%, 0,75 l

This wine feels like an unexpected tale: fresh, expressive and harmonious, with vibrant fruit and soft structure. The name Sherazade evokes the legendary storyteller — rich in character and nuance.

Grape variety: 100% Nero d’Avola — a native Sicilian grape that reflects the terroir’s Mediterranean profile.

The wine presents a bright ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose it offers red fruit aromas of raspberry, cherry and plum, with delicate spicy and balsamic hints.

On the palate it is dry, medium‑bodied, with fresh fruit flavours, smooth tannins and pleasant acidity, leading to an enjoyable and refreshing finish.

Vinification includes fermentation with skin contact in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages about 4 months in tanks and subsequently at least 8 months in bottle before release.

Recommended serving temperature is 15–16 °C to highlight its fruit and freshness.

Food pairings: ideal as an aperitif, with pizza in tomato sauce, fish soups, pasta dishes and light grilled foods or mature cheeses.
