Terra Initia Rkatsiteli Qvevri is a Georgian dry orange white wine made using the traditional fermentation technology in a qvevri from the autochthonous Rkatsiteli variety. The drink belongs to the Terra Initia project, which represents the character of the terroirs of Kakheti, one of the historical centers of Georgian winemaking.
In the glass, this wine has a rich golden-amber color, typical of the amber/orange wine style, which occurs due to the long interaction of the juice with the grape skins during fermentation.
The aroma is complex and multi-layered, with shades of dried fruits, persimmons, spicy green tea, as well as subtle nuances of smoked fruits and wood, which create a distinct and pleasant aromatic palette.
The taste is dry, full-bodied and balanced, with well-integrated acidity and a long velvety aftertaste, where fruity and spicy nuances continue to unfold.
This style of wine pairs well with seafood, grilled fish, lean white meat, light vegetable and warm salads, and aged cheeses, emphasizing both the aromatic component of the dishes and its own flavor profile.
Recommended serving temperature: ~12–14 °C — this is how the wine reveals its fruity freshness, texture, and aromatic complexity.
