Jameson Black Barrel, 40% is a premium Irish blended whiskey (Blended Irish Whiskey) from Midleton Distillery (Irish Distillers), crafted to elevate the classic Jameson profile with richer depth and complexity. Like all Jameson whiskies, it is triple distilled, but it undergoes maturation in double‑charred bourbon barrels along with ex‑sherry casks, which intensifies the richness of its aroma and flavour while maintaining the brand’s signature smoothness.

Colour: warm golden with copper highlights, reflecting its barrel maturation.
Nose: expressive with notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted wood, complemented by fruit and spice nuances.
Palate: full‑bodied and layered, combining caramel, vanilla, ripe fruit and roasted nuts, with gentle spice and oak character.
Finish: long, warm and harmonious, with lingering toasted wood and sweet spice notes.

This expression is NAS (No Age Statement) but achieves a richer, more robust character than classic Jameson through the use of heavily charred barrels.

Jameson Black Barrel is ideal neat or on the rocks to appreciate its depth, and it also works wonderfully in classic cocktails like Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour, as well as paired with desserts and aged cheeses.
