Whiskey Old Smuggler, 40%, 0,7 l

Old Smuggler is a classic Blended Scotch Whisky bottled at 40 % ABV in a 0.7 L bottle. The brand has roots going back to 1835, inspired by the Scottish smugglers of the 18th–19th centuries who risked everything to deliver whisky across the isles despite heavy duties. Today the whisky is distributed globally and is part of the Gruppo Campari portfolio.

This is a non‑age‑statement (NAS) blend made from a selection of malt and grain whiskies from various Scottish regions, matured for around 3 years in oak casks.

Colour: golden‑amber. The nose offers honeyed, vanilla and fruity notes, with floral highlights and gentle caramel sweetness. On the palate it’s smooth and balanced, with caramel, honey and mild spice tones, occasionally with a subtle woody or faint smoky hint. The finish is medium‑length, warm and approachable.

Serving temperature: Ideally 18–20 °C to bring out the aromatic complexity and flavour profile. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a base for classic whisky cocktails (Whiskey Cola, Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour).

Food pairing: light snacks, caramel or chocolate desserts, fruits and cheeses.
